St Vincent is a remarkably beautiful island, unspoilt from the ravages of tourism. The average yearly temperature is 27°C (81°F) with the coolest months being between November and February. With miles of sandy beaches it has remained an exclusive and relatively undiscovered jewel in the Caribbean.
This former British colony is now emerging as a well governed and regulated financial jurisdiction. An ambitious programme of policy reforms designed to strengthen the public finances, achieve higher growth and lower unemployment is well underway. This is shown by the registration of new International Business Companies to the Island. According to the International Financial Services Authority by the end of April 2004, some 357 new IBC’s had registered in the country representing a growth of 84% for the year.
St Vincent is an attractive proposition to those wishing to buy a holiday home in the Caribbean and is also an interesting and well regulated base for the expatriate or international investor.
