Good News

We will keep you up to date on whats going on around the World from the opening of boutique hotels and 5 star resorts to new flight routes to destinations just waiting for you to discover. We work with a number of independant supliers and regardless of what is going on in the World we stay in touch and if you want to know what's really going on then they'll be happy to answer your questions. We can't predict the weather but if something is happening that might interest you - heavy snowfall in the Alps or a big swell in Caribbean then we can let you know. Any news on new surf camps, new kitesurf schools and snowboard clinics will all be posted here. Yoga is now a popular  feature if many surfcamps and helps improve your stamina, balance, strength and flexibility and inevitably improve your overall surf performance. many camps combine both activities as a package. Here we have listed our favourite surf and yoga camps, who offer top quality surf coaching and yoga sessions, in some of the Worlds top surf destinations.

#1 Taghazout, Morocco

Morocco was one of the first places to see surfcamps offer yoga. The surfcamp, set right on the waters edge at Taghazout, offers two yoga sessions a day to surfcamp guests. The sessions are taken on the terrace, overlooking the ocean, as the sun comes up and the sun goes down, a simply stunning setting. You can add a weeks yoga, to your surf program for just £45 and you can join as many of the sessions as you want. Surfcamp opttions are available for all levels, from absolute beginner to experience pro. There are a range of great value options, from shared dorms, to private seaview rooms and private apartments. Dfrost also offer Girls only surfcamp surf  & yoga weeks and also a full yoga camp, staying at the Villa Surya yoga and meditation retreat, for those wanting a more comprehensive yoga experience.

#2 Carcans, France

Camp right by the beach in this pituresque corner of South West France. The camp site is set in a pine forest, just 50 metres for the water and offers a relaxed and calm atmosphere. Yoga is free for everyone at the camp, who will get at least three sessions during their stay. there is a dedicated yoga tent, or sessions can be taken outside on the golden sands or in the forest. Accommodation is in tents, with comfy airbeds. The camp has a range of activities to keep you occupied when not in the water, from volleyball, beach games and table tennis, to bike hire and an outdoor cinema.

Prices start at £245 for 7 nights, with 10 hours of surf lessons, free yoga and unlimited use of surfboards (add food for £75pw)

#3 Esmoriz, Portugal 

In an unbeatable location, right on Esmoriz beach, this is Northern Portugal’s original surfcamp. There are options for all levels of surfers, with top quality coaching included in the surfcamp packages, with theory and video analysis. Accommodation is in private twin/double rooms and shared bunk rooms and there are nice communal areas, to socialise with other guests at the camp. A range of surf spots can be found within walking distance of the surfcamp and surf coaching is included in the package price. Yoga is available from June until September and you get two free two hour sessions included (extra lessons can be added). This is a fun and sociable camp with parties and bbqs organised during your week, great for singles and also groups.

*4 Santander, Spain 

Set is a huge garden just a short walk from Somo beach, this surf house offers a friendly, fun experience with lots of things to do when not in the water, with volleyball, table football, pool, darts and lots of areas to chill out with other guests at the camp, with an evening beer and watch movies on the big screen, or enjoy the tasty dishes served up from the bbq. Rooms range from 8 bed dorms, to private twins and doubles, most are ensuite. 2 hours of surf coaching is included every day, by experienced surf instructors, all of who are FES (Cantabria Surf Federation) qualified. You wil visit the best surf spots around, most of which are walking distance from the camp. Your surfboard and wetsuit is available all week, so you can practice when you want. This is a really sociable camp, so great for single travellers, looking to meet new people. Its also great for groups, as there are various group discounts, from free places and free nights, to free food and surfing available. Each group booking is tailor made to your requirements. You can join the yoga sessions as and when you want, which are usually taken outside in the lovely gardens. Each session is 10euros.

Prices start at £215 (low season) for 7 nights b&b in a dorm, with daily surf lessons and 7days equipment hire. 

#5 Bali, Indonesia 

Bali is a surfing Mecca, where people from all over the World come to experience the year round near perfect surf conditions, great weather and friendly locals.  This is one of our favourite surf destinations. The surfcamp here is set in lovely tropical gardens, with a swimming pool, hammocks and lots of places to chill out with other surfers. The top quality accommodations consist of a range of bungalows, villas and luxury duplex villas. There are also twin shared dorms, some with fan and some with air con. Bali is surrounded by some of the best surf beaches on the World and your surfcamp package, includes transport to many of these every day. Experienced guides will take you to the best surf each day and lots of secret spots around the island. If you need coaching, you can add lessons from experienced Australian surf instructors. Bali is a very spiritual island and the camp offers yoga sessions, taken in a traditional Balinese pavillion, with the cool breeze blowing through, with classes taken by experienced yoga instructors. Yoga sessions are 10euros each
