Alacati - Turkey

Beginners - Our great value kitesurf school packages are aimed at beginners who want to learn an exciting new sport in a warm, beaurtiful setting. The beginner package includes 10 hours of high quality tuition to teach you the basic skills to go off and kitesurf on your own.

Intermediate/Advanced - we offer packages for experienced kitesurfers who just want to hire, high quality equipment and make use of the kite centre facilities and make new friends. If you want to improve your riding we can also offer intermediate kitesurf school and private advanced lessons. You are also welcome to take your own equipment. We will include airline sports baggage charges and use of the kite centre facilities.

Itinerary and highlights

The spot in Alacati
The spot is situated in a huge protected bay, with a 500
metres long and 400 metres wide shallow area of shimmering turquoise water. In the south, the bay gives way to the
open sea. The constant wind, which blows sideshore from
the left in summer, and the absolutely flat water create
perfect conditions for kiters, as well as an excellent learning and practicing environment.
The kite spot is on the opposite side of the bay, and can be reached either by car or by the center-owned shuttle boat.

Wind and waves
From mid May until the end of September the well known “Meltemi” blows from a northerly direction. Normally the wind
is moderate in the morning and in-creases during the day. In spring and autumn, the dominating wind comes from the south. The “Poiras” blows sideshore from the right. At this time, nice small waves break in the bay. Even on days with strong wind, beginners and intermediates can enjoy moderate wind conditions in the morning and afternoon.

The center
The center is located in the south of Cesme
Peninsula in the bay of Alacati, on a 70m long shingle beach
only 60 metres from the water. The building is protected from
the wind and offers ample space. Showers, changing facilities
and WC’s are on site. Accessories such as lycras, t-shirts and harnesses can be purchased in the boutique belonging to the center. Snacks and drinks are available when you feel like taking a break between sessions.

Kids
Alacati is a perfect place also for kids to learn windsurfen.
Due to the huge shallow aera, kids can practice without any danger. In the morning usually the winds are light and therefore great even for the smallest kids. The combination of special trained instructors, shallow warm water, light winds and special kids equipment let kids improve very fast.
