Itinerary & Highlights

Beginners - Our great value kitesurf school packages are aimed at beginners who want to learn an exciting new sport in a warm, beaurtiful setting. The beginner package includes 10 hours of high quality tuition to teach you the basic skills to go off and kitesurf on your own.

Intermediate/Advanced - we offer packages for experienced kitesurfers who just want to hire, high quality equipment and make use of the kite centre facilities and make new friends. If you want to improve your riding we can also offer intermediate kitesurf school and private advanced lessons. You are also welcome to take your own equipment. We will includeairline sports baggage charges, storage and use of the kite centre facilities.

We can also include private lessons & video coaching.

The spot at Djerba

The spot in Djerba
As the wind in Djerba is not very strong, the spot is perfectly suitable for windsurfing beginners and intermediates, as well as kitesurfers of all levels and catamaran sailors. A shallow water area, between 20-50 metres (depending upon the tide), allows easy launching. The spot is split up, with  the section directly in front of the center intended for windsurfers and catamaran sailors, and a designated zone further downwind reserved for kitesurfing tuition. Next to this zone there is ample space for advanced kitesurfers.

Wind and waves
During summer the wind blows only moderately but constantly from the east (cross-onshore from the right), thus making Djerba a very safe spot for everyone. The best time for beginners is definitely in the summer months between June and September. For kitesurfing tuition a second spot can be used which is a shallow water lagoon, thus making Djerba a perfect all-year learning environment for kitesurfing beginners. In spring and autumn, the wind blows with 4-6 Beaufort creating a small swell – a lot of fun for advanced windsurfers and kitesurfers.

Djerba

Tunisia is the northernmost country of the African continent. Here, a Mediterranean climate mixes with the dry and warm desert climate of the Sahara. Tunisia looks back on 3000 years of history: under the Romans, Djerba was a trade center for caravans passing through from the Sahara. In the times before the Spanish rule, vandals, Arabs and Normans fought for supremacy. In contrast to the endless width of the Tunisian Sahara, the north of the country offers lush green valleys and grasslands. Tunisia is famous for its breathtaking coastal views of the turquoise sea, charming villages with houses that hide their fine interior behind the “Moucharabia”, and ornate gates covered by hibiscus and bougainvillea. With 1.2 million date palms, the island of Djerba is also called "Palm Island".

Park Inn Ulysses

The Park Inn Ulysse Resort & Thalasso is situated on the fine sandy beach approximately 200-300metres from the kite centre, on the adjacent beach.

Amenities and facilities: The extremely stylish, cultivated atmosphere of this 5-star hotel makes for a perfect holiday. The large pool with a separate kids' pool and sundeck is situated between the hotel and beach. Beach towels, sunbeds and sunshades are available at the pool and beach free of charge. After a strenuous day on the water, guests can relax in the heated indoor pool or take advantage of the thalasso therapy centre and sauna (extra charge).
A free shuttle bus takes you from the hotel to the golf course, which is about 7 km away.
A fitness studio and table tennis are available free of charge and tennis courts are also available at an extra charge. A kids' club (3-12 years) provides entertainment for younger guests. Apart from the main restaurant, there is an exclusive fish restaurant, a lobby bar, saloon bar and Moorish-style café.

Rooms: The tastefully appointed rooms with marble floors have a bathroom, hair dryer, phone, radio, satellite TV, minibar, safe deposit box, AC/heating, balcony or terrace. You can choose between garden and sea views and book larger rooms (Prestige suite) with bigger balconies. The suites are more spacious and are furnished and equipped in the same way but have a living area as well.

Radisson Blu

This luxurious resort is right on the fine sandy beach. The kite centre is located at the beachfront of this hotel.

Amenities and facilities: The modern, completely renovated resort with its unusual architectural design is surrounded by a magnificent, spacious landscaped garden. A large outdoor pool with pool bar and beach bar are located within the gardens. Sunshades, sunbeds with mattresses and beach towels are available at the pool.
In the colder months of the year, you can also use the heated indoor pool.
Those who feel like a good pamper should visit the fabulous thalasso therapy centre (at an extra charge). The hotel cuisine is superb: apart from the Mediterranean bar, there is a southern Italian bistro, an Andalusian lounge club and restaurant, and a fish restaurant.
A fitness area and 4 tennis courts await all those who are still feeling energetic after their session on the water.

Rooms: The refurbished rooms and suites are extremely luxuriously appointed and combine traditional Tunisian furnishings with modern design.
