Tobago is a paradise for water sports. Tobago is a small tranquil island in the Caribbean, which is still quite unknown to a lot of people. Tobago is the dream location for any kite-surfer. The island has an Atlantic and a Caribbean Coast, which allows any kite-surfer of any style to find the right spot. Our Surf Camp offers everything a true kite-surfer could dream of.

Tobago offers two beaches for kite-surfing: Pigeon Point and Lowlands Beach.
Pigeon Point is situated at the south end of the island. The water is shallow, even more at low tide, where you can stand in the water for several hundred meters off the shore. The beach at Pigeon Point is long and wide and offers enough space for beginners and advanced kite-surfers.

Lowlands Beach is ideal for kite-surfing at low tide. It is located at the Atlantic Coast and therefore the waves are normal, 80 % of the time the wind comes in from the east side-onshore. Lowlands Beach is perfect for advanced kite-surfers, the best jumps you can find.

Starting from the end of September to the end of May, Tobago offers a very reliable and constant wind (side-onshore).  In the months of June to September the winds are a little lighter and less consistent.

An off-shore reef is situated 300m off  Pigeon Point, therefore the water is very shallow inside this bay, which makes this location ideal for beginners. You can improve your skills on and behind the reef, the waves are between 0.5 – 2m. The water temperature is between 27 – 29C all year.

You can also take try out other activities while you are there. There is surfing, wakeboarding and parasailing available. If the wind conditions do not allow for kitesurfing, you wil still have an alternative fun activity to do.

Beginners - Our great value kitesurf school packages are aimed at beginners who want to learn an exciting new sport in a warm, beaurtiful setting. The beginner kitecamp package includes 3 days of high quality tuition to teach you the basic skills to go off and kitesurf on your own.

Intermediate/Advanced - we offer packages for experienced kitesurfers who just want to hire, high quality equipment and make use of the kite centre facilities and make new friends. If you want to improve your riding we can also offer intermediate kitesurf school and private advanced lessons. You are also welcome to take your own equipment. We will includeairline sports baggage charges, storage and use of the kite centre facilities. Beach transfers are included in the intermediate kitecamp.

Kite camp

The Surf Camp is situated in a quite tropical Garden on a private property, 10 minutes car drive away from the airport. Basic, clean and freindly hostel style accommodation. All kitesurf beaches are located a few minutes drive away.

You can meet all guests for breakfast in the Café Tobago Dream, which is located close to the Camp. At night the guests can enjoy night-life in Tobago’s favorite bars, where you will meet both, locals and visitors. You will relax under palm trees, sipping on enticing Tobago cocktails. Afterwards you can take the night-life to the next level in Tobago’s night clubs. All guests staying at the Guest House or the Bungalow have access to the pool and lawn in the Tropical Garden.

Turtle Beach

Tucked away on the shore of its own palm-fringed beach, Turtle Beach by rex resorts is the ultimate of all Tobago vacations. Visit the beautiful beach where giant Leatherback turtles lay their eggs from March through to July. All guest rooms have a fantatsic ocean view. Head near the shore and you’ll find an enticing pool with a swim-up bar and whirlpool.

Tropikist Beach

Located right by the sea at Crown Point, this lovely small property offers a relaxed atmosphere along with great value for money. Just 10 minutes by taxi from the airport has you enjoying the Caribbean sunshine just moments after landing. The wonderful beach at Store Bay is just a few moments walk away. There is a choice of three room types with Superior and Deluxe rooms overlooking the sea.
