Barbados
There are 4 different wrecks, 2 marine parks and a turtle park.
There is a penetration dive for the more experienced diver and twenty
reef dives from the south to the north. In summer dives are available
on the east coast.
Itinerary and highlights
There are several unique reefs with sponges, coral and plant life
including Sea Horses, Frog Fish and Giant Sand Eels. The reefs are
situated 1⁄2 - 2 miles from the shore.
Barbados offers several sites for wreck diving. Carlisle Bay, with
200 reported wrecks and Stavronikita are two of the most popular.
Diving is offered all year round but the best time to dive is in
the summer months when the visibility ranges from 40 to 70ft and
the water temperature is a consistent 80 degrees F.
